Most of our clients fall asleep during the procedure.
We use a high-grade topical anesthetic prior to and throughout the duration of the procedure for your comfort.
Most clients feel nothing, describe a “tweezing” sensation. Sensitive clients may require longer numbing but the sensation is tolerable.
Many clients comment on how relaxing our services are.

It is recommended to get touch-ups to freshen up the PMU to maintain its natural look every 6 - 8 months , as color polarization needs to be addressed as well.
The “permanence” of the brows depends from person to person because there are a myriad variables at play that affect the longevity of your permanent makeup.
It will fade over time. It’s called “Permanent Makeup” because the particles from the pigment stay in your skin forever, although the saturation dissipates eventually, causing fading/visibly perceived dissipation. Factors such as natural elements, skin type (i.e. Oilier skin can fade faster), age, skincare regimen (i.e. anti-aging creams), facials, peels, sun exposure, tanning beds, sweating, exercise habits… are all at play when it comes to affecting the life span of your brows.
On average, they may last anywhere from 1-3 years. However, they start to fade the moment you get them because as the skin cells shed and regenerate, the pigment will surface and eventually fade out. They may last 1-3 years, but they may not look natural for that entire time span - thus we recommend touch-ups to freshen up the PMU every 6 - 8 months.
Many clients ask “how will I know when I should get them done again?”… the answer is usually “you’ll know…!” because you will grow increasingly frustrated at the lack thereof or you’ll find that you’re back to filling them in again more than you’d like. Usually after the first round, you’ll get an idea of your body’s cycle and how often you prefer to come in.
You can anticipate acclimating to your new brows, however, so you may find that your “preference” will evolve into an increasingly fuller/more filled-in look over time.
For example, you may think your brows are more faded than they are because you’ve gotten used to having them filled in as opposed to when you initially came in with virgin brows. We can always go darker, just let us know because we always err on the conservative side!
-
You’ll look great! Most clients respond with “Wow I can’t believe how natural it looks!”
Your permanent makeup may intensify in color and appear darker and more defined for the first 3-5 days. It will possibly appear darkest the next day.
There may also be an alteration in the color and it may look “warmer” or reddish in tone if you’re prone to sensitive skin.
There may be temporary redness from slight inflammation for half an hour after the procedure.
All of this will subside.
Keeping skin healthy during the healing period is critical. Please avoid saunas and steamers in the affected area for at least 3 days.
Also, try to avoid sweating and exfoliating. Allowing the scabbing (if there is any) to adhere as long as possible is best for optimal healing.

Yes. We have the resources to help you.
Each case requires different care so please email us CLEAR photos of your brows (with no makeup on).
If your eyebrows are a highly saturated grey, red, purple, black or extremely dark, I highly recommend getting them removed by a specialist or by laser beforehand. In our NY location, these services can be rendered in the office that we work from the same day.
This will give us a suitable base to work from once your brow area is fully healed. If your eyebrows are faded or light, we can usually work with them in an effort to “camouflage” the previous design if the shape is agreeable with our aesthetic.
However, you’ll need to send in CLEAR photos to see how we can help you, otherwise you may waste your time by coming in for an appointment only to be disappointed if we’re unable to help you.
Please note, in some cases the existing permanent eyebrows can negate the effect of the hair-strokes, causing them to blur.
However, as your permanent eyebrows fade with time, I can build up the effect for you. Please know that in some cases extra sessions may be required as it is unique case-per-case.
Also: note that if you previously had tattoo work done, a photograph must be submitted before scheduling an appointment.***
CAVEAT: This is an appeal to common sense. Please be aware that Permanent Makeup is an ART and not a science. As artists there is only so much we can do to control the outcome of each procedure. Please trust that we are deeply invested in giving you a beautiful outcome–it’s our craft and our passion. Each individual renders unique and non-replicable variables that will produce variegated results during every procedure. Every procedure is unique and may produce a different outcome, even for the same person. Even the same person over time may have changes to the skin and produce different results. We cannot predict or control this. Committing to follow-through with your procedure means that you understand the inherent risks involved. Going to another artist after having your brows done by Le Kitsune may require adjustments. We can address it accordingly per case. Le Kitsune has the right to release you as a client at anytime.
We reserve the right to refuse services to anyone.
A note on Eyelash Serum: there are currently studies going on indicating that Eyelash Serum may inhibit color retention indefinitely into the skin. If you have used Prescription Eyelash Serums in the brow area within the past two years, and continue to move forward in getting a brow procedure done, you are acknowledging the inherent risk that your skin may not take to the procedure and there may be little to no retention. No additional services will be provided beyond the customary process.

Item descriptionEveryone is different and most are out and about the day of the procedure, but based on our experience aftercare is required a ~2 weeks:
This is tricky because the downtime varies from client to client. Typically, however, we recommend adhering to a 2-week aftercare routine to ensure an optimal outcome.
This said, the downtime really does vary. Even the same client can have varying downtimes and outcomes depending on the client’s current lifestyle (i.e. pre-post baby, stress, health, medication, supplements, diet, climate, workout regimen, skincare, etc.).
Some clients report feeling no visible change in their skin at all while others go through the entire “process,” which means the day after the procedure the affected area turns very dark due to oxidizing of the ink (intermingled with blood, lymphatic fluids , etc.), then the color begins to soften and peel (some report light dandruff-like peeling while others report patchy chunks coming off), then the color appears to go away and then return.
We advise clients to be patient for one full month, as the skin-cell regeneration cycle is about 28 days and will take that long before being fully healed. At that point the true color of the brows is revealed, which is why we wait one month before proceeding with Touch-ups.
NOTES ON BROWS:
Microblading: You may find that it gets darker the second day and will crust and peel and get itchy! PLEASE do not pick off the scabs! This will prematurely pull the pigment out. Leave your skin as clean, moist and happy for as long as possible. The longer the scabs stay on, the better. Hybrid: Most people report less peeling and scabbing with the Hybrid, but even with flaking, try to minimize it by keeping your skin moisturized and avoid over-exposure to water/steam, etc.
NOTES ON LIPS:
Day 1 (Day of Procedure): Within an hour of the procedure, wipe lips with the antiseptic wipe included in your Aftercare Kit, followed by a cotton round dampened with lukewarm water. Repeat at bedtime. When they’re feeling dry, apply A&D ointment included in your Kit.
Days 1-5 (Or until the flaking is gone): Do your best not to wet your lips for 3-7 days, aside from the initial cleaning on Day 1. Let them heal! Keep the skin moist at all times; do not let the lips dry out. Continue to re-apply A&D ointment as needed. DO NOT PICK OR PEEL at any scabbing or flaking! Drink all liquids through a straw.
PLEASE AVOID: Water (on the affected area) aside from cleaning them, Makeup, Excessive sweating, Sauna, Pools, Sunbathing, Tanning beds, Spicy food, Vaping (the metal on the mouth piece will make the color turn ashy!), Kissing (sorry!).
DO NOT apply anything besides the A&D ointment during the healing process. Do not use creams that contain acids or ingredients that will lighten or exfoliate the skin. Touch-ups (if needed) can be done 4-8 weeks after the original appointment.
NOTES ON EYELINERS
General Advice: We’re just trying to facilitate and encourage our body’s natural healing processes and to maintain the moisture barrier for as long as possible.
FRICTION is the enemy. NO RUBBING!
Also, gently cleansing the areas are always encouraged. Just use luke warm water and gently pat dry. Apply balm/ gentle moisturizing agent on afterwards. We recommend Cerave. Please do not use Neosporin or Bacitracin. If you use Vaseline or Aquaphor, please use only the TINIEST amount so that your skin can still breathe!
-
Many times clients return to work immediately after or resume the next day; it’s up to you and your comfort level.
The most noticeable day is usually the next day, though most clients report little to no change with the Hybrid technique.
Eyebrow procedures produce minimal swelling (Hairstroke Machine Method may produce minimal swelling if you’re sensitive) and no bruising but the color may intensify in the following days post procedure.
Please note: your permanent makeup may look darker than usual during the first week–this is completely normal.
-
For the best results, please ensure that the specific area is healthy, moisturized, and free from irritations and blemishes prior to your procedure.
If the skin area is damaged or “open” it is best to wait for it to heal first. MOISTURIZED, CALM SKIN IS ESSENTIAL. AVOID RETINOIDS, EXFOLIANTS AND DRYING AGENTS.
If your skin is dry, irritated or “flared up,” it is detrimental to the procedure as this prevents optimal retention. Please take care, be advised and prepare accordingly. Please refer to the PREP + AFTER page.
-
Short answer, yes!
Facial skin, unlike the skin on the rest of the body, is particularly delicate.
On top of that, thin skin, age and texture affects the outcome of the permanent makeup.
If you have skin that is of concern, please send us a photo before your appointment.
Very few people have completely flawless skin and we will do our best to work with your situation.
A follow-up appointment is included with each new application and allows for improvement and fine-tuning.
-
During your consultation, we’ll take the time to groom and trim your existing eyebrows.
Permanent makeup does not affect the existing hair; it only addresses the skin.
You are encouraged to maintain the shape created during your consultation and procedure once the brows are completely healed.
If you have unwanted grey hair, you have the options of dyeing it, using a mascara, or removing them.
Risk Factors: Please note that tattoo inks, dyes and pigments have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration and that the health consequences of using these products are unknown.
As an elective service, we urge you to consult your medical doctor before proceeding if you have any concerns. Individuals assume their own risk in proceeding with any procedure.

No, it is not necessary but most preffered to discuss what they want to get out of their appointment with Renee beforehand.
During the initial portion of your appointment, we will have a conversation about what you’re hoping to achieve and we will recommend shapes and colors based on my assessment of your features and will do a “reshaping”of the proposed design.
We always offer an extensive explanation of this as well; due to our 15+ years in the beauty industry, it’s an inherent part of our routine to explain the process to my clients to ensure that you understand each step of the way.
It is our priority to ensure that all of your questions are answered and that you feel absolutely comfortable and confident in moving forward in going through with the procedure.
Also, we will be seeing you for a follow-up appointment in the following months so you may “fine-tune” your design and make adjustments to shape and color.
We always err on the natural side since we can always go “bolder, bigger, darker,” with ease but not so much the other way around!
We show you the colors we will choose before we begin so there are absolutely no surprises during the appointment–it’s a collaboration from beginning to end.
We do not proceed unless we are both on the same page.
-
Please allocate around 1.5-2 hours depending on your appointment.
First we will have a conversation regarding your expectations and what we can deliver.
Then we carefully analyze your facial shape, structure and features, skin-type, misc., pinpointing how your natural features can be enhanced by the procedure.
After this, we will advise you on the most suitable shape and colors to match your skin and hair tone.
Finally, using a cosmetic pencil, we will create a design by reshaping your existing brow/Lips/Eyeliner to help you envision your ideal end result.
Only once you are 100% happy, we will proceed to numb you with the topical anesthetic for 20 minutes.
Each procedure normally lasts approximately 45 minutes- 3 hours.
Lastly, we will review aftercare instructions with you and schedule your follow-up visit.

Yes, more than likely! According to InStyle, the average woman spends over $15,000 on makeup during their lifetime.
This statistic reveals just how much money permanent makeup can save you in the long-run.
More importantly, permanent makeup will save you precious time that allows you to “wash and go” in the morning and step out of the house with confidence.
-
Yes. You will need to avoid SWEATING and avoid contact with excessive exposure to water as much as possible (especially steam, saunas, swimming, etc.) and direct exposure to sun. No swimming and suntanning for 2 weeks after any procedure.
Gentle washing with gentle cleansers are encouraged to keep the area clean.
Any neutral products that are moisturizing/protectant agents are encouraged in the area. Avoid scrubbing the permanent makeup area until it has fully healed. Avoid friction.
-
Ideally, we recommend that you wait two weeks before you can apply your makeup as usual in the brow area.
Keeping the brow area skin clean and free from cosmetics is important during the healing process so as to prevent infection and impeding the healing process.
You may wear makeup around the area.
